Thank you so much for subscribing to this amazing sensory box! After I had a mental breakdown in 2020 and sought out therapy one of the first things my therapist helped me with was to find tools to help me with self regulating and getting though flashbacks and dissociative episodes. A lot of the tools were things that engaged the senses and they truly changed my life and very likely saved my life too.

Sensory items and tools are important things to explore to find just the right ones for you (kinda like Goldilocks) and I hope that this subscription box helps you in your journey on finding what tools work best for you :) Please view this box as an adventure to find your ultimate sensory aides and view the ones that don’t resonate with you as things you can gift forward to those in your life you feel might appreciate them. As always please know that I am always a only dm or e-mail away if you have questions or suggestions.

I hope you enjoy the Summer Vibes box!

Love and Light

Willow

Ear plug necklace

Do you feel overwhelmed by sound? My partner, stepchild and I all struggle with too much noise. It can be especially triggering for my PTSD and having something to have my ear plugs with me and at the ready as well as keeping them safe if I need to take them out to speak with someone or hear something better is a HUGE help! I don’t know how many time I have either wished I had ear plugs with me or loose them o.0

I hope you enjoy your necklace featuring one of these models: botanical serotonin molecule, lunar moth, sea turtle, mountain range or stars accent. You can remove the silicone earplug chains to make cleaning them easier (just wash in warm water and gentle soap) or to attach them to another necklace, ear cuffs or earrings you already own.

3d Printed Fidgets

The highlight of the theme :) I have ADHD and I have baskets around my home and in my office filled with things to help keep my brain focused when I need it to be or to help with self soothing when I start to feel dis-regulated and I have an array of 3d printed fidgets tucked away everywhere for when I might need them. The Summer Vibes box includes a darling sunflower dragon and an adorable hammer head shark that I hope will become your friends and keep you company when you need them :)

These 3d printed fidgets are made with an eco friendly PLA bio plastic and all scraps and failed prints saved to further recycle them into something new.

Sensory Chewelry Multi Pen

Did anyone else LOVE multi pens when they were younger? (and lets be honest I still obsess over them) I love multi pens because writing my notes with many different colors really helped me read my notes better and study easier despite my dyslexia.

Sensory pens can be handy if you find you chew your pens or pen caps or if you just need a lil extra stimulation to get though your class or meeting. These silicone beads are easy to clean with warm water and gentle soap before the first use and when ever you feel is necessary. Some folks like to nibble on the beads while others just enjoy their texture, either way I hope you enjoy this sensory multi pen.

The beads are high quality silicone from a small women owned supplier in Ontario Canada who specializes in baby teethers so you can feel reassured that their quality is top teir.

Stickers

I have been obsessed with stickers since I was a child and now i’m obsessed with making them and this lil summer vibes sticker pack is designed with my art. These are laminated vinyl and can be put on water bottles, laptops and more.

Neuro spicey Button

This happy lil fella is a callback and nod to sunflowers a repeating theme in Summer Vibes Sensory box.

The sunflower is a symbol for many different things amongst them are resiliency, endurance and hope.

Did you know that the people of Ukrainian view the vibrant flower as a symbol of peace and resilience. After the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster in 1986, Ukrainians planted sunflowers in the devastated area. The flowers not only represented renewal and hope, but they helped extract toxins from the soil.

The sunflower has also been chosen as a symbol for the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower movement as a way for folks with hidden disabilities from Autism to Ulcerative Colitis and everything in between as a subtle way to signal to one another and others that you may need extra help. Magnets

I love to make things using up-cycled materials and I thought these game tile magnets might be a fun thing to collect from theme box to theme box. Sometimes I use scraps of paper, old book pages and my favorite pages from an old Where’s waldo book that a child had circled all the waldos XD; I have always been a huge fan of all the zainy things you can find in the illustrations and knew I could give those “useless” books a new lease on life and be appreciated all over again.

Botanical clips

This is just a lil bit of serotonin or dopamine that you can clip in your hair, on your hat or even your hair elastic. I ordered some bucket hats with cat ears last year and I got two sprout clips in my order and they have brought me SO much joy that I can not send out a package without including one. To stay on theme I found ones that are more botanical as sprouts read as springtime for me.

I hope you enjoy these little clips as much as I love mine! I would love to see how you use yours - feel free to tag me in your pictures or use the hashtag #sproutcrew to share your new little sprout and flower friends.

Coloring Pages

Coloring has always been something that I keep going back to when I need to relax and calm down. I colored so much as a child especially and I realize now that coloring was a tool to self regulate even though I didn’t understand it at the time. I was never taught how to regulate growing up and somehow I found activities like coloring, lego, reading and listening to music to center myself with. I hope you enjoy these illustrations, I find it super relaxing to draw them and I hope you will feel the same coloring them.
